Level: Intermediate (Prerequisite: Glass Blowing 101)
Dates: 6 sessions:
Thursdays, November 8- December 20 @ 6 pm - 9 pm
( no class on Thanksgiving)
This class is for the person who really wants to understand the process of glassblowing and learn some solid skills. Each week students will be given new exercises to develop their glass manipulation techniques and expand their knowledge. This class will dive into basic shapes like a sphere, cylinder, bowls, and bottles. Some color applications may be explored. Each class will consist of demonstrations and student will get guided, hands-on instruction and practice time every week.
(Please note: there are no make-up sessions offered for missed classess)
Expand your knowledge after taking GB 101. This class is partially a review of the basic shapes learned in level 1 but will introduce more complex forms as well as, color and surface decorations like bits and mold use.
Advanced forms like inverted cones, bowls, plates, and some stemware may be explored.
After this class students are eligible to rent studio time independently upon approval.
